We are a family more than a kennel. We live on a small hobby farm in Northwest Tennessee and provide pets to those who love this classic breed. My family has been breeding collies for over 25 years, and we know that if you've ever had one, you'll have one for the rest of your life! Rough Collies are an amazing breed! They are smart, loyal, intuitive, and dedicated to their families. I focus on health testing, personality, temperament, and conformation in my dogs. I do not show and do not claim show quality as breeding for collie health is always my first priority. Puppies are raised with love and attention from myself and my three children. They are started on potty training to the doggy door when they go home at 8 weeks. Collies should not be taken on lightly. They are a large breed, potentially reaching 100 lbs, can be very vocal, and require regular brushing and grooming. They can be kept indoors or outdoors, but if kept outdoors they require a warm, enclosed area during the winter and a shaded, cooled area during the summer. If they are not properly groomed and cooled during the heat of summer, collies are known to develop "hot spots" which result from them chewing on their skin/coats. These require immediate veterinary attention. Collies need plenty of room to run and play or be walked daily, as they are an active breed. They should not be brought into an apartment setting since they are often vocal and may cause conflict with close neighbors. Please understand the commitment of this large breed!
