At Hightide Australian Shepherds, we believe that one of life’s greatest gifts is the companionship of a dog. For over two decades, we’ve devoted our lives to the Australian Shepherd breed, embracing the unique personalities and exceptional qualities these dogs bring into our homes and hearts. Our journey began in 2000 and has been shaped by a passion for breeding, showing, and most importantly, living with these remarkable dogs. Australian Shepherds are intelligent, athletic, and eager to please. Their versatility makes them exceptional partners for active families, performance enthusiasts, and anyone looking for a loyal and loving companion. Whether you dream of competing in agility, rally, conformation, or simply hiking with your best friend by your side, Aussies rise to the occasion. Bringing a dog into your life is a lifelong responsibility, and we take that seriously. At Hightide, we are committed to producing healthy, well-tempered, and structurally sound Australian Shepherds. All of our breeding dogs undergo extensive health testing, and we carefully plan each litter with the future in mind. Through pedigree research, collaborations with top breeders, and hands-on evaluation, we strive to improve the breed with each generation. While many of our dogs go on to earn titles in conformation and performance events, our greatest pride lies in the lives they lead as cherished companions. We place puppies in loving pet homes as well as show and sport homes, and we believe a well-bred Aussie should first and foremost be a joy to live with. Whether they’re lounging on the couch, exploring new trails, or playing in the backyard, our dogs are raised to thrive in the real world—not just the show ring. We love when our dogs get to do it all. From obedience and agility to therapy work and herding, we welcome inquiries from active homes that want a partner for performance or adventure. Our dogs are bred for soundness of mind and body, and many of our puppies excel in multiple venues. We’re especially excited to work with performance homes and support them every step of the way. What sets Hightide apart is our commitment to our dogs and the people who love them. Each puppy is raised with care, structure evaluations, and socialization from day one. We provide ongoing support to our families and treat every placement like a partnership. Our dogs are more than pedigrees—they are family. The Hightide prefix is a tribute to the windswept beaches and coastal charm of Cape Cod, Massachusetts, where our story began. In 2012, we moved to the Pittsburgh area of Western Pennsylvania, where Jillayne continues raising Australian Shepherds with integrity, heart, and purpose.
